My name is Daria, and 2 years ago my family decided to adopt a kitty. When we saw Gab on Andrea’s rescue page, our heart dropped, and we knew he was the one! Our first furry baby! Andrea was so kind to us, and equipped us with all the necessary information. Our precious boy was hand delivered to his forever home, and we couldn’t have been happier since then. I always had a passion to save animals, but wasn’t even close to Andrea’s compassion, boldness and love! I was happy to help at least one little soul that needed us. I started following Andrea on Instagram, and couldn’t believe how many fuzzies find homes through her generous heart. That inspired me to adopt a senior puppy Philip, who was found abandoned on a highway. Our family grew and grew bigger! Philip and Gab became brothers. We live in a small apartment, and don’t have tons of space, but it didn’t stopped us from adopting another baby kitten Sonia. Andrea had a few of them on her page. Their eyes, their love called our name once more! Now we have 3 amazing furry babies, completely different from each other, with the sweetest personalities. We are not perfect and sometimes go through a rough patch, but we are strong because we have little souls supporting us, giving us absolute love and care (it is mutual). I cannot be more thankful to Andrea to have them in our life. Please adopt, don’t miss out on a opportunity to have your family harmonious, full of love and complete!

After losing my cat of 13 years to cancer, I swore that I would never get another cat because I just couldn't go through the pain again. But than I found "Booty", I was on-line one night & saw his picture & fell immediately in love with him. I sent an email & Andrea responded with all the details about him, she then arranged to meet me at the animal shelter is SFO for the adoption process. Andrea was so nice & you can tell right off that her love for animals is Genuine. We keep in contact & I send her pictures of Booty every month, I've had Booty now for almost two years & he is full of love & is the best thing that has come into my life. Thanks to Andrea.

Aurora, aka Rory, has been in our lives since December 2022. She was in an accident in the early days of her life, requiring removal of her right eye. Andrea and her team saw to it that she gained the appropriate weight so that she could undergo the life-saving operation. As a subscriber to Andrea's Dream Rescue's Instagram, I followed and donated to Rory's healing progress and was delighted that she was well enough to adopt.

Andrea and her team assured us that Rory was a sweet, feisty girl who was eager to be placed in a new home. Just a week or two after meeting Rory, we brought her home where she settled in quickly and started to warm up to her cat sister, Cyrus. Andrea and her team kept in contact with us to assure that she was adjusting well, and continued to heal and thrive. Rory is such a cuddly and loving addition to our home, I couldn't imagine life without her. She has a signature squeaky meow that she greets us with every day.

We are so grateful to Andrea's Dream Rescue for taking such excellent care of Aurora and other rescues like her.

Adding Nala to our family has been both an exciting and fulfilling experience for us all! Your rescue service was thorough in vetting out families to place a family's new addition. We found it very difficult to even find a rescue cat and prior to finding you, we had a difficult time getting any information regarding the cats shown on sites through other services. We are grateful we had the chance to meet with you, for our dog Chip to meet Nala prior to her joining the family and for our whole family to spend a little time with her in our home prior to the adoption. She is a wonderful friend and finds joy and delight in being with us whether we are sitting around chatting in the kitchen or on vacation as a family. She is intelligent and fits right in with Chip. We love her! She is perfect.

My name is Molly and I began fostering with ADR in October of 2020. One of my first fostering experiences was with a kitten who had just undergone a back-leg amputation, and while supporting her during her healing process was difficult and at times stressful, it helped me realize how rewarding caring for medically complex animals can be. My cousin adopted her, and over the next few years I continued to foster when I could and gained experience with kittens with many different medical needs. When it came time to prepare for fosters 15&16 in August of 2023, I learned that one of the kittens, Precious, had recently had her back leg amputated, and I was excited to foster my second “tri-pawed” kitty. Precious had been paired with Suede, a sweet energetic boy about her age who encouraged her to wrestle and romp around like any other kitten despite her recent amputation. My partner and I had been planning to adopt eventually, but were happy to foster until we found our perfect cats. These two quickly stole our hearts and fit into our lives seamlessly. We were able to watch as Precious navigated stairs, a cat tree, and keeping up with Suede. As time went on I realized that while I am usually excited to see kittens get adopted, writing up their descriptions for the website felt wrong- I knew they were already in their forever home. We were very excited to finalize our “foster fail” at the end of 2023 and cannot imagine our lives without our sweet kitties (now named Penelope and Clarke). Although at first it may be daunting, I cannot stress enough how rewarding it is to care for a cat with more complex medical needs. Whether fostering or adopting, the team at ADR was there every step of the way to ensure that I felt supported and confident caring for medically-complex kitties, and that the cats were happy, healthy, and found their perfect forever homes.

When we heard about the devastating wildfires on Maui, Andrea's Dream Rescue and I teamed up and traveled to Maui several times to help with animal rescue and to bring back adoptable kittens to find homes in SF. As part of the first trip, we brought back ten adorable kittens for rehoming!

These included a litter of four orange 7 week old tabbies, one of whom was a darling boy named Maui. Maui is a very lovey kitty, and with all of that time alone in his carrier, he started to meow something fierce. The plane was empty, so I laid down on the row of seats and put Maui (in his carrier) on my chest. He curled up by my face and fell asleep, purring, for the rest of the flight. Needles to say I absolutely fell in love.

When we got back to SF, my husband and I agreed to foster Maui and his sisters, and I fell even more in love with that sweet orange ball of fur (lovingly nicknamed Arancini Mauicino). I desperately wanted to adopt Maui, but I figured it was a pipe dream because one of our own kitties (Mignon) was a ball of anxiety and very territorial (even going so far as to pee at the threshold at least a couple times a month, I think as a warning to potential invaders). That said, I had to try, and ADR advised us on how to effectively introduce kitties. We followed ADR's advice, doing the introduction very slowly. Much to our surprise and delight, Mignon was even more receptive to the process than we expected! With every day Mignon grew more and more accepting of Maui, and now, six months in, they are best buds! Mignon's anxiety has also almost entirely disappeared, including no more intruder warnings at the front door!!!

Maui is such a loving, delightful addition to our family, and that he is such a buddy for Mignon has been a blessing that we didn't even know we needed. THANK YOU, ADR!!! ❤️❤️❤️

We both grew up with cats and had been thinking of adopting for a while. We knew we wanted two kittens so that they could play with each other. We had been loosely keeping an eye on Pet Finder for a few weeks, until one Sunday afternoon we saw Cheeks and Chunks. They were the most perfect bonded pair! We fell in love with Cheeks’ big blue eyes and Chunks’ cute tabby face. Fast forward only one week and we were picking up our new babies.

It’s been a month now, May (Cheeks) and Gray (Chunks) have been filling our home with lots of purrs, fun, and companionship. “I want to go home and hang out with my cats” has become a very acceptable reason to leave any event early. And these cats really do love to hang out with us on the couch!
